New energy supply system for greenhouses

Last changed: 25 October 2023

The project aim is to produce a knowledge base for greenhouse growers on their way to invest in a new energy supply system or on their way to improve their existing system. The developed knowledge base will serve as a decision tool for the grower. In the project a review and a survey of systems for renewable energy is included as well as their function in practical applications for greenhouse growing enterprises. Current knowledge is gathered and used as course material for different target groups, which beside growers also are advisors, persons from authorities, or other persons wanting a good base for decisions concerning energy issues for greenhouse growing. Finally a pilot course based on the derived material is offered and given.

The project is funded by The Swedish Board of Agriculture and EU (The rural development programme)
