Uppsala is well connected to many European airports via Stockholm-Arlanda airport. Uppsala’s central station is easily reached from the airport via train and bus. The city offers a great variety of accommodations (several hostels, hotels, airbnb accommodation) from which participants can choose. The Local Organization Committee team will provide a list of available options for accommodation and will negotiate special rates for the event in selected hotels.
Ultuna campus is located in a scenic area approximately five kilometers to the South of Uppsala city centre. The campus is easily reached from the city center by bus, which runs in short intervals between the train station and campus. It is also accessible by a 60 minutes’ walk from the city center in beautiful surroundings nearby the river Fyrisån, offering excellent opportunities for participants who would like to start their day with some exercise.
The department is located in a new, convenient building with modern technical facilities. Light lunch and coffee breaks are organized within the University buildings. In addition, there are shops and canteens on the campus.
The workshop takes place from June 10–12, 2019 (Monday to Wednesday). The weather is usually very nice in Uppsala in early June, with day temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius. Days are long with almost 19 hours of daylight during the time of the event.
