At the department we teach undergraduate students, educate and train postgraduate students, and offer postdoc positions within our many research subject areas. Research areas range from basic process understanding to practical silviculture and forest management. Most of our research deals with the boreal forest, however, we also do research in the temperate and tropical forests of the world.

Education att all levels is based on ongoing research within the seven subject areas the department is responsible for. These are:

Master's programme

If you are interested in Forest Ecology and Sustainable Management? Our Department’s advanced degree programme leads to a MSc in Forest Science or Biology.

Undergraduate studies

In our undergraduate courses, we teach basic knowledge about forest ecosystems as well as more applied knowledge about forest management.

Postgraduate studies
