Doctoral education at Forest Remote Sensing

Last changed: 08 April 2019

Within Forest remote sensing we conduct research education. Examples of current dissertation topics are:

  • Tree species classification using for example multispectral laser scanning, or time series of satellite image data
  • Remote sensing for forest management planning in large forest enterprises
  • Data assimilation using time series of remote sensing data
  • Radar remote sensing for prediction of biomass and biomass change.

Doctoral students often have a background in forest sciences or engineering.

Researchers from the subject area also participates with their knowledge in remote sensing and GIS in related subject areas.
