Research

The department's primary research aim is to develop new knowledge relevant to forestry in southern Sweden and the Baltic region. Much of the research is conducted in direct collaboration with our key customers, such as forest managers and the forest agency. Our five core research areas are forest management, forest planning, forest policy, conservation biology and forest history, and tropical silviculture and seed science.
