Business economics 2
The course starts with a series of lectures and seminars on basic marketing and in-depth managerial accounting. After that, an independent synthesis work follows, where the students with supervision make a business plan for a smaller company, especially in the animal industry.
The course ends with a final seminar where the students present their business plans.

The course aims at providing basic knowledge in marketing, as well as in-depth knowledge of managerial accounting with special application to smaller companies in the animal industry. Furthermore, the course aims at integrating the students’ acquired knowledge through the development of a business plan for a small company, especially in the animal industry.
After succesful completion of the course, students will be able to:
Explain central concepts and models in the marketing field, with particular application to smaller companies, especially in the animal sector.
Independently make basic budgets as well as product, contribution and capital budgets for smaller companies especially in the animal industry, as well as evaluate the reliability of the information.
Develop a business plan for a smaller company, especially in the animal industry.
Content

Grading form
The grade requirements within the course grading system are set out in specific criteria. These criteria must be available by the course start at the latest.Formats and requirements for examination
The course is examined through the exam, written synthesis work and participation in compulsory components.
- If a student has failed an examination, the examiner has the right to issue supplementary assignments. This applies if it is possible and there are grounds to do so.
- The examiner can provide an adapted assessment to students entitled to study support for students with disabilities following a decision by the university. Examiners may also issue an adapted examination or provide an alternative way for the students to take the exam.
- If this syllabus is withdrawn, SLU may introduce transitional provisions for examining students admitted based on this syllabus and who have not yet passed the course.

- Genomföra självkostnadskalkylering, finansiering och finansiell analys för mindre företag, speciellt inom djurbranschen.
- Använda för ekonomistyrning relevanta hjälpmedel.
- Redovisa projekt- och inlämningsuppgifter i såväl tal som skrift.
För godkänt (4) ska du kunna:
