Public space for children and youth
Runt om i världen byggs allt tätare städer. Vilka konsekvenser får detta för folkhälsan bland barn och unga? Hur kan stadsplaneringen lyckas bättre med att främja barns välbefinnande, kreativitet och rörelseglädje? På den här kursen undersöker du olika sätt att yrkesmässigt hantera dessa frågor. Målet är att du, utifrån den yrkesinriktning du har i dagsläget, ska veta mera om hur just du kan bidra till mer hälsofrämjande och ändamålsenliga stadsmiljöer på barns och ungas villkor.
Teori och beprövad erfarenhet är likvärdiga inslag i kursen. En handfull kursträffar under året varvas med eget arbete på distans. Litteraturseminarier varvas med övningar och studiebesök på platser där man kommit en bit på väg. Barns och ungas eget perspektiv på den fysiska miljön i olika delar av världen är centralt i kursen, liksom vad som gör vissa platser attraktiva, utvecklande och välbesökta – men inte andra.
En viktig del av kursen är det handlingsinriktade projektarbete du genomför individuellt eller tillsammans med andra med syfte att du ska kunna utvecklas i din yrkesroll.
Information from the course leader
Den här kursen går på halvdistans med fem fysiska kursträffar 7-8/2, 14-15/3, 9-10 maj, 2-3 dagars studieresa i augusti samt slutredovisningar av projektarbete den 3-4 oktober. Upprop sker digitalt den 18 januari.

If a student has failed an examination, the examiner has the right to issue supplementary assignments. This applies if it is possible and there are grounds to do so.
The examiner can provide an adapted assessment to students entitled to study support for students with disabilities following a decision by the university. Examiners may also issue an adapted examination or provide an alternative way for the students to take the exam.
If this syllabus is withdrawn, SLU may introduce transitional provisions for examining students admitted based on this syllabus and who have not yet passed the course.
For the assessment of an independent project (degree project), the examiner may also allow a student to add supplemental information after the deadline for submission. Read more in the Education Planning and Administration Handbook.
