Topics in Econometrics

The course will use lectures and seminars to discuss problems associated with empirical economic research, including publication bias, data-mining, and methodological cherry-picking. The course will cover examples of famous replications.

Course syllabus

When you are about to register for the courses that are given by Uppsala University, you have to register at SLU. Registration closes one week before the course starts because the administration at the Department of Economics needs to send Uppsala University a registration list so all registered students obtain access to the course material before the course starts.

  • The registration at SLU is open 2022-04-01 – 2021-04-24.
  • Register for the course at SLU in Ladok Student. If there is a problem with your registration, contact the administration at SLU econ-edu@slu.se.
  • We will send a registration list to Uppsala University one week before the course starts. Remember to register as soon as possible in order to access their Studentportal for course material etc.
  • You need to be registered to both SLU and Uppsala University in order to create a student account at Uppsala University and to be able to access their Ladok in order to sign up for the exam.
  • If you have been admitted to the course with conditions, your merits will be reviewed. Only registered students can participate in the course.
  • If you have any questions regarding the course, please contact studentadmin@nek.uu.se

You must be admitted and registered to attend the course at both SLU and Uppsala University. Unregistered students may NOT stay on the premises, for reasons of insurance.

If you cancel the course, you should immediately notify the educational administrators at SLU via email: econ-edu@slu.se.
