Pass / Failed
The requirements for attaining different grades are described in the course assessment criteria which are contained in a supplement to the course syllabus. Current information on assessment criteria shall be made available at the start of the course.
Admitted to a postgraduate program in animal science, biology, veterinary medicine, food science, nutrition, nursing, or related subjects, or to a residency program in veterinary science
After completing the course the student shall be able to describe the basic components of flow cytometers and confocal laser scanning microscopes and how they work together. The student shall be able to interpret data output from the specialized software for flow cytometry. The student shall be able to describe the principles of cell sorting. The student shall be able do design a basic panel of fluorophores for use in flow cytometry experiments. The student shall be able to apply flow cytometry to his/her research subject.
