The environmental status of the forest landscape according to the Swedish National Forest Inventory

The sub-programme Environmental condition of the forest landscape within the regional environmental monitoring compiles data from the Swedish National Forest Inventory describing conditions and trends of importance for biodiversity and ecosystem services in the forest at regional level (county in most cases). The statistics include, for example, forest age and tree species mix, structures such as dead wood, large trees and hollow trees, ecosystem services such as berry production and timber stocks, and forestry measures.

Via a web application, the user can filter out the desired statistics by selecting values for the variables included. The result is presented as a table or a graph that the user can then export to several different file formats for further processing. The application also includes an API that allows other applications to retrieve statistics from the database.
