Study trip to Norway, 2 HEC

This study trip is organised by the research school Sustainable Biomass Systems, with additional funding from SLUs climate fund to enable sustainable travel without flying.

Objectives

The aim of the study trip is to visit industries and research institutes working with different aspects of sustainable biomass systems. The goal is to broaden the participants knowledge of industrial applications as well as research conducted at other research institutes or universities. Participants will get the opportunity to connect and share their research with other PhD students. 

Outline of content

The theme for the study trip is sustainable biomass production and utilization. Several organisations will be visited, e.g. in the bioenergy and food sector.

Outline of schedule

The study trip will be during the 26th-30th of August 2019.

Destination

Several locations in the Oslo region will be visited.

Language

English.

Exam requirements

A course assignment must be completed to receive 2 HEC.

Participants

The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 12 PhD students.

Other

Costs for travel and accommodation (in shared room) are covered by the research school while meals are paid for by the course participants.
