Lectures by our new professors

On 28–29 April, you will have the opportunity to listen to online lectures by our new professors.

This is an opportunity to learn more about many of our exciting subject fields as during two days, 15 new professors will be presenting their research. These lectures are part of the professorial inauguration that takes place at SLU every year to mark the new professors taking up their positions at the university. Due to the pandemic, the traditional inauguration ceremony and dinner will be moved forward to a later date, and the professors who give their lectures this year will take part in the formal ceremony planned for spring 2022.

The lectures have a popular science format and the broadcast will be moderated by Malin von Essen. Malin has an MSc in forest science and broad communication expertise. Running her own company, she focuses on taking on the role of facilitator, helping businesses and organisations create meaningful meetings. She is also a freelance writer and works as a moderator.

This year, we are trying a new concept for the professorial inauguration lectures where we get to know each professor through an introductory talk with the moderator. This is broadcast live, and you can send your questions to nyaprofessorer@slu.se for the short Q&A session that will take place after each lecture.

The broadcast will take place on 28 and 29 April at www.slu.se/professorer. No login is required.

More information about our new professors in text, image and film clips, is available on the same page: www.slu.se/professorer

No prior registration is necessary.

We look forward to seeing you there.
