Bioeconomy – from pathways to practice

Bioeconomy developments are key for the transition from a fossil-based economy to a society built on renewable resources. Yet, the bioeconomy is interpreted and has advanced very differently in different parts of the world, and in pursuit of a variety of goals, from climate change mitigation to rural livelihoods, gender equality and business development.

Welcome to a webinar organized by KSLA, which will investigate different pathways to the bioeconomy, presenting contrasting examples from Sweden, Eastern Africa, and Colombia. The webinar will discuss how bioeconomy can be turned into action through national and regional strategies. The role of science and innovation in a knowledge-based bioeconomy will be high-lighted.

On 9 June, 2021, at 11 am until 1 pm on Zoom.
