Lars Edenius

My research revolves around management of large ungulates, moose in particular. I also use remote sensing as a tool to map and monitor moose and other wildlife habitat. Using observational and experimental data, coupled with national forest inventory data, I explore patterns and processes and model population demography in deciduous trees such as aspen. I have produced guidelines and manuals for survey techniques in the new moose management system. In 2012 I earned a position as senior extension lecturer in ecology with emphasis ungulate management. I also work as assistant coordinator for the Environmental monitoring (Foma) "Vilt" program . Another interest of mine is migratory connectivity in long-distance migratory birds which I study together with colleagues across Eurasia.
