Martin Goude
Experiment Group Leader at the Unit for Field-based Forest Research in Tönnersjöheden, and researcher with focus on forest management, forest production and how forests are affected by climate change.

Presentation

I am working as an experiment group leader at the Unit for Field-based Forest Research in Tönnersjöheden. The unit's task is to manage the faculty's experimental parks, field stations and long-term field experiments, as well as accompany and help in the entire chain from installation to measurement and data delivery.

My research is focused on forest management and forest production. My PhD project, which resulted in the thesis Hybrid growth models for Norway spruce and Scots pine: Using leaf area and light use efficiency for predicting stemwood production (defended on September 10th 2021) was about how the integration of ecophysiological concepts such as light interception and light use efficiency in forest growth and yield models could allow for better predictions of forest development in a future with changing climate.
