The Pro Vice-Chancellor for International Relations, Ylva Hillbur, visited the University of Rwanda (UR) and attended the Annual Review Meeting (ARM) within the UR-Sweden programme.
During 23-27 October, a week-long joint Annual Review Meeting took place at the University of Rwanda. This high level meeting was organized by UR-Sweden Programme for Research, Higher Education and Institutional advancement which is a Sida's Research Partnership Training Programme. The meeting brought together researchers and academics from UR, Swedish Universities and different stakeholders to reflect on the Programme achievements inline with research and capacity building.
During the meeting Ylva Hillbur had an interesting discussion with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Rwanda, Professor Phil Cotton; Deputy Vice Chancellors Professor Nelson Ljumba; and Ambassador Dr. Charles Murigande, regarding possible future collaboration between UR and SLU. Ylva also participated when the sub-programme Agriculture presented and discussed their achievements for the year 2016/2017.
