Research grant to project about the nutrient cycle

Mirco Bundschuh, researcher at the Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment, has received a grant from the Swedish Research Council for the project Distance matters: searching for the missing link in the nutrient cycle.
The aim of the project is to increases the knowledge of factors affecting the decomposition of organic material by microorganisms, which is important for food webs in both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
The grant is for 3.6 million SEK and the project will start in 2018 and finish in 2021.
