Delegation from Cambodia visited SLU

Published: 08 June 2017

A delegation from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), Cambodia visited SLU, Ultuna on May 24 2017. The objective of the visit was to gain insight in research which is conducted at SLU connected to urban environmental pollution.

The delegation consisted of the Deputy Head and one researcher from the Department of Enviromental Science. This is the second time a delegation from Cambodia visits SLU this year concerning bilateral collaboration. The visit was hosted by SLU Global and was received by Ioannis Dimitriou; Deputy Director at SLU Global and Kevin Bishop, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Environmental Monitoring and Assessment.

The visitors’ interest in environmental pollution gave them the opportunity to listen to researchers from SLU concerning various environmental issues. The Cambodian visit is an attempt to create opportunities for further capacity building extending the research focus at RUPP to a deeper level. The delegation also visited a laboratory in the Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment.
