SLU's Pro Vice-Chancellor for International Relations at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs

The occasion was a visit by the new president of IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development of the UN), Hon. Gilbert Houngbo. The seminar was opened by Ulrika Modéer, the Swedish State Secretary to the Minister of International Development Cooperation. After a keynote by President Houngbo and introductory remarks by the panel there was a dialogue between the experts and the audience. The discussion was distributed broadly on many aspects of challenges and opportunities for agricultural development. The SIANI network was supporting the ministry with the logistics of the seminar and a link to a film from the seminar will be published here shortly.
