CBC's annual report 2017

Published: 26 March 2018

The Centre for Biological Control, CBC, has now published highlights of the activities during 2017.

CBC contributes to the development of new knowledge concerning the use of living organisms to control pests and diseases. Biological control has a great potential to restrict the damage caused by harmful organisms like animals, plant pathogens and other pests in agriculture, forestry and horticulture.

– During the year, a number of CBC research projects have been completed and new have started and we engaged a number of new co-workers. We describe the four new pilot projects and literature studies that received grants from CBC, a successful collaboration with high school students at Katedralskolan in Uppsala, a CBC arranged session on biological control at a scientific symposium at Ultuna campus and a CBC debate article in a Swedish daily newspaper, says Margareta Hökeberg who was the director of CBC to the end of year 2017.
