The SLU Landscape Days in Ultuna, October 2019

The SLU Landscape Days in october 2019 was planned in connection to Uppsala Health summit, this year’s focus was Healthy Urban Childhoods and how to build our cities with and for children. The Landscape Days attracted both staff and students.

The days were introduced by a LTV Honarary Doctoral Lecture by Sweden´s new ´State Architect’ (Riksarkitekt), Helena BjarnegårdWatch her lecture here

We also had the great opportunity to listen to two keynote speakers: 

Tim Gill, Independent scholar, advocate and consultant on childhood, made a keynote speach with the title From knowledge and vision to implementation of Child-friendly Urban Planning and Design. Insights from cities in Europe and Canada. Read more

Ann-Katrin Bäcklund, Director of Pufendorf Institute, Lund University, made a keynote speach named Why inter- and transdisciplinarity, and how?​ and engaged in discussion with representatives of SLU Landscape. Read moreA contribution arranged by the research platform SLU Urban Futures.
