Acquisition of e-journals, e-books and database

Published: 01 April 2019

The library has recently acquired new e-resources. The acquisitions include a large number of e-books and e-journals, but also a database of images. These images are free to use in research and educational contexts.

The e-book collection has been expanded with a large number of e-books from the publisher Springer Nature within biomedical and life sciences as well as earth and environmental science. In total, approximately 11,000 of the publisher's e-books published between 2005 and 2018 are available to researchers and students of SLU.

About 30 e-journals from the publisher Annual Reviews have been added to the library's e-journal subscriptions. Annual Reviews publishes research reviews within a number of different research fields, and researchers at SLU have often requested these journals.

In addition, a new database, Artstor Digital Library, with more than 2.5 million images from a large number of cultural heritage institutions worldwide has been acquired. The images are free to use for research and education purposes.
