OECD CRP - Call for applications for funding in 2021

Published: 26 June 2020

Are you organising a conference or workshop on state-of-the-art research issues in agriculture, food, fisheries or forests in 2021? Or would you like to spend time working with researchers in another country to help your research project? If so, we think you should consider applying for funding from the OECD CRP (Co-operative Research Programme: Biological Resource Management for Sustainable Agricultural Systems).

The call for applications for funding in 2021 is now open. Please note the guidelines and conditions, selection criteria and research themes for funding for fellowship award and conference sponsorship below. Applications must be submitted through the appropriate online application forms. PDF copies of the applications forms are provided to help prepare applications before going to the online forms.

Applicants must be residents in one of the countries participating in our Programme.

Applications relevant to the work of the OECD Committee for Agriculture and other bodies are particularly welcome:

  • Emerging diseases and zoonoses, especially COVID-19, including their possible transmission through food
  • Resilience and risk management
  • Climate change, including carbon sequestration in agriculture, forestry and land use
  • Digital technologies
  • Plant and animal breeding to enhance sustainable productivity growth and resilience to climatic events
  • Fisheries and aquaculture productivity, sustainability and resilience
  • Ecosystems and biodiversity, including in aquaculture and farmlands, and natural resources
  • Development of alternatives to antibiotics for use in livestock and less harmful plant protection chemicals and improved fertilisers.
  • Sustainable food systems

If you are working on any of the CRP priority areas of research, grouped under the three research themes below, we would welcome an application from you.

  • Managing Natural Capital for the Future
  • Managing Risks in a Connected World
  • Transformational Technologies and Innovation

The deadline to apply is Thursday 10 September 2020, midnight (Paris time).

As applications are made electronically, restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic should not affect the deadline. However, there may be some delay in confirming the results of the Call for Applications if the pandemic continues.
