New facts about school and preschool outdoor spaces

How much space is needed for a schoolyard or a preschool outdoor environment? The competition for urban land has often resulted in too small areas to be able to support children’s healthy outdoor stay. Now, in depth knowledge about sizes of outdoor environments is presented in a report and a fact sheet, compiled and analysed by five SLU-researchers.

The work was initiated by the National board of housing, building and planning (Boverket).
