Collaboration with industry, authorities and organisations is a natural part of SLU activities. The university contributes with knowledge and competence in various collaboration projects.

External collaboration specialists

In a unique initiative, SLU has appointed external collaboration specialists with a special focus on developing the extension processes at the university.

These specialists all combine proficiency in research with extension activities in their subject areas. On this page you can find out more about collaboration at SLU.

Centre for Reproductive Biology (CRU)

A joint body between Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Uppsala University. CRU is a network of scientists working in the field of reproductive biology..

Swedish Centre for Animal Welfare (SCAW)

On behalf of the government, SCAW will gather the country's expertise and coordinate animal welfare activities.

WelRisk

Competence centre for the development of practically applicable methods in the area of animal welfare risk assessment and surveillance.

Djurförsök.info

A collaboration between the Swedish Research Council and eight Swedish universities.

Centre of clinical comparative oncology (C3O)

C3O is a virtual network for cancer research on pet animals.

A collaboration between SLU and University, gathering important knowledge for genetic studies in dogs.

HästSverige

The leading digital distributor of horse facts in Sweden. A collaboration between SVA, The Swedish Horse Industry Foundation, The Swedish-Norwegian Foundation for Equine Research, LRF and Agria.

Regional agricultural research for northern Sweden (RJN)

An R&D-programme supporting agriculture adapted to the circumstances in northen Sweden. In collaboration with  som stöttar jordbruk speciellt anpassat för de norrländska förutsättningarna. I samarbete med County Administrative Board of Västerbotten and the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences, SLU.

Interbull Centre

The Interbull Centre is the operational unit of Interbull and provides genetic information services and applied research for improvement of livestock to a worldwide network and fulfills a mandate as an European Union Reference Laboratory for Zootechnics.

Aquaculture and wildlife

National Competence Center for Aquaculture (NkfV)

A strategic partnership for long-term national development of aquaculture with a focus on knowledge-based information and communication. This is a collaboration between SLU and The University of Gothenburg.

Vattenbrukscentrum Norr (VBCN)

The leading player in the development of Swedish aquaculture in the Rainbow trout and Arctic Superior species. VBCN's research and experimental activities are primarily being carried out in cooperation with SLU.

Wildlife Damage Centre (VSC)

The Swedish Wildlife Damage Centre provides information and education about management of protected wildlife, such as large carnivores and large grazing birds.

Centre for Fish and Wildlife Research (CFW)

A collaboration platform for institutions and research groups at SLU working in the field of fish and wildlife. CFW is also a national network between researchers and between research and society.

Global, Food and Sustainable Development

One Health Sweden

One Health Sweden is a collaboration for researchers with interest in zoonotic infections. One Health Sweden is an integration concept including several universities and governmental organizations that wish to contribute to a sustainable intellectual platform where veterinarians, physicians, molecular biologists, ecologists and environmental chemists with an interest in zoonotic infections can interact and create synergies

Uppsala Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD)

An interdisciplinary centre that aims to be a catalyst for research and education on sustainable development. The centre is a collaboration between Uppsala University and SLU.

Centre for Organic Food & Farming (EPOK)

EPOK works with collaboration, coordination and information on organic agriculture research in a Swedish, Nordic and international perspective. EPOK is a resource for the entire SLU for communications with the outside world and to coordinate and initiate research and education.

Bioinformatik och statistik

Bioinformatics core facility

Bioinformatic analyses of proteomics, transcriptome data and development of biological data bases and computer based analytical tools.

SLU Global Bioinformatics Center (SGBC)

Part of the Core Facility at SLU and is an academic research and educational initiative aimed to build a long-term successful bioinformatics infrastructure facility that serves the Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and life science research communities worldwide.

Centre for Statistics

The centre for statistics provides statistical support and advice to researchers at SLU.
