To get the best possible treatment results in sport horses with joint inflammation (osteoarthritis), there is a need to be able to detect, diagnose and treat affected horses at an early stage. However, the symptoms can be difficult to detect as the pain at first is often low-grade and progresses for several weeks to several months.
