New clinical diagnostics for migrating blood worm larvae

The blood worm large strongyles, Strongylus vulgaris, is considered to be the most dangerous parasite for horses. An increased prevalence of the parasite has been observed in Sweden and Denmark in recent years, which is a threat to equine health.
