Preliminary thesis title: Forestry advisory services in Sweden
My topic is forest policy with a focus on forestry advisory services in Sweden. Since there is increasing interest in promoting new types of forest management, I want to understand how the Swedish Forest Agency, as well as private companies, adapt their advice to different audiences. I use qualitative methods, namely interviews, to compare the strengths and weaknesses of different forms of advice and how they have changed over time. How advisory services are planned and prioritized at different levels, as well as how they interact with other environmental policies, will be some overarching themes in my work. I started my PhD at the Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre in September 2021.
