Guest researcher programme in Economics and Business administration 2018-2022

Last changed: 28 August 2018

Economics and Business administration is one of the research fileds that SLU will focus on during the next five years. Therefore a guest researcher programme is now formed and SLU researchers are encouraged to propose prominent persons within their subjects.

External stakeholders are expressing a desire that SLU should conduct strong research in the field, such as market analysis and business intelligence, entrepreneurship in agriculture and forestry, sport and companion pets, etc.

SLU also needs skilled teachers that meet the needs of the educational programs. Strengthening the subject is also an important element in the pursuit of increased multidisciplinary science.

Strengthens the subject Economy

The intention of the guest research program is to associate prominent researchers within the subject area from other universities - Swedish or foreign - to SLU. In that way they can contribute to knowledge sharing and building networks, thereby creating the conditions for development of subject at SLU, in both research and education.

The framework for the guest research program is that guest researchers are invited to work at SLU one or two months a year over a three-year period. The selection of guest researchers is made through an open call where researchers at SLU may apply.

Common applications encouraged

The announcement encourages jointly formulated applications from two or more departments within SLU.

In the guest research programme any young researcher/doctoral student working in the group of the guest researcher or at the host department at SLU, is given the opportunity to visit and work at another university/institute for a limited time. Hopefully, this exchange can further strengthen the networks between the host and guest institutions.

More information

As a SLU researcher you can propose a guest researcher in your research field.
