Goat herd

Last changed: 22 March 2024

Small goat herd for behavioural observations or physiological whole animal studies during, for instance, pregnancy and lactation.

A herd of milking goats, 10-12 adult animals + kids during the spring semester. The may be used for physiological studies of whole animals. They may also be suitable for behavioural studie of, for instance, interactions between goats and kids. The goats are kept in an open system but may be housed in individual boxes. They are regularly used in teaching on several courses which may limit the possibilities to use them in research. During the summer they are out grazing.
