Swedish Forest Soil Inventory database

Last changed: 01 September 2020

Database of soil properties and soil chemistry from the monitoring programme Swedish Forest Soil Inventory.

The database contains information on soil conditions from the Swedish Forest Soil Inventory (SFSI). SFSI is part of the national environmental monitoring commissioned by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. The inventory covers ca. 20 000 objectively located plots across all of Sweden and the field work is carried out in collaboration with the Swedish National Forest Inventory. All land use types except urban areas, cultivated land and the high mountains are included. One tenth of the sampling plots are re-visited each year. Data includes site characteristics, soil properties and soil chemistry of collected soil samples.
