Guidelines for publishing at the LTV Faculty

Here you will find instructions regarding publishing different types of documents at the Faculty of Landscape Architecture, Horticulture and Crop Production Science, where they have special guidelines. The general guidelines at SLU apply to theses and student projects.

Reports

  • Reports from the LTV Faculty in Alnarp are published in the series Reports from Landscape Architecture, Horticulture and Crop Production Science (Landskap, trädgård och växtproduktionsvetenskap – rapportserie).
  • The author is responsible for the quality of the content. Approval from The Head of Department is required before publishing.
  • The series is numbered by year (i.e., starts with number 1 every new calendar year). Contact the SLU University Library for a report number.
  • All reports should have a unique ISBN. To order an ISBN number for your publication, complete this form.
  • From the 1st of January 2014 the series does not have an ISSN.
  • All reports should have a title and summary in English.
  • The Alnarp Print Shop is responsible for layout and cover design. For design of the contents part, templates are available here.
  • All reports are to be openly available in full text, by registering in SLU:s publication database (SLUpub). The Library will add the electronic version to its collections. A printed copy will only be kept if no electronic version is available.
  • The faculty is responsible for archiving all documents. It is possible to publish online only, but one print copy must always be made for archival purposes. The Alnarp Print Shop will supply the SLU archive with a printed copy. 

Fact sheets

  • Fact sheets from the LTJ faculty in Alnarp are published in the series LTV-fakultetens faktablad.
  • The series is numbered by year (i.e., starts with number 1 every new calendar year). The manuscript should be sent to Alnarp Print Shop who is responsible for layout and numbering in contact with the Library.
  • There are detailed instructions for publishing fact sheets (in Swedish only) as well as a fact sheet form (in Swedish only) that should be filled out by the author during the process of writing Please ask the administration staff at your department if you need assistance with these documents.
  • All fact sheets are to be openly available in full text, by registering in SLU:s publication database (SLUpub).

Introductory papers

  • Introductory papers at the LTV faculty are published in their own faculty series Introductory paper at the Faculty of Landscape Architecture, Horticulture and Crop Production Science.
  • The series does not have an ISSN. Each paper must have a unique number. Please contact the SLU University Library to receive a number for your paper.
  • Write your paper in the template for reports from SLU University Library. Use the report front page template for the front page. Get the templates here.
  • Introductory papers are to be openly available in full text, by registering in SLU:s publication database (SLUpub).

Monographs

Working papers

  • For working papers and faculty documentation not intended for public dissemination, each department or unit creates its own series with the department/unit name as title and Kompendieserie as subtitle.
  • These documents are not available at the SLU Libraries.
