As a SLU employee or student you have access to a large selection of e-books from various publishers and suppliers via the library.

Finding e-books

You can find all our e-books in the library's search tool Primo. You will see them if you do a search and then apply the filters "Books" and "Available online".

Reading e-books

To access the e-books you need to you need to be connected via the SLU network. When off-campus, you can use VPN to get access.

Most e-books are available in PDF or EPUB format and can be downloaded, often either as a whole book or as individual chapters. Other e-books have DRM protection (Digital Rights Management) which usually means that there are limitations on how much you can print and for how long you can download the e-book.

Note that you can always read the e-book online, without creating an account.

The SLU University Library has license agreement with various publishers that define what you are allowed to do with the e-books.
