Update WP7

What is happening in your WP right now?

The aim of WP7 is to create optimal conditions for all participants to work collaboratively toward the programme aims, and ensure the best possible impacts of our work. WP7 constitutes the ”programme commons”, i.e. it provides the programme infrastructure, securing the its coordination and knowledge sharing. Thus it doesn’t include projects as such, but rather activities.

What’s next?

Miljökommunikationsdagarna: Att kommunicera för hållbarhet, on November 26-27. These are days instrumental for spreading the latest insights and tools from the programme and to foster networking and knowledge and experience sharing between all partners and actors – practitioners and researchers alike. The agenda includes sessions on environmental communication tools, educational material, how to communicate for change, and how to create meaning within environmental communications. Do you see any challenges for the WP?

How to best create discursive space, as well as physical space, where wicked problems can be discussed in relation to communicating for sustainability is a challenge in itself, but one that I think we handle well. But when it comes to opening up such a discursive space for a true diversity of actors, or even for actors who do not perceive themselves as actors or as having a voice in society, then the challenge is very obvious and demands a lot of thought.  

What are your plan for the WP for 2021?

An international scientific advisory group is going to be organized, a report on ongoing partner dialogues to be authored, and capacity building and training courses are to be designed. Among many many other activities!
