Welcome to the Crane seminar and PhD course with the theme "Animal Assisted Intervention", April 12-16 2021. The following main lecturers will appear in the course Prof em Marie-Jose Enders-Slegers, Ass Prof Ng Zenithson and Ass Prof Bente Berget.

Animal Assisted Intervention is a goal oriented and structured intervention that intentionally includes or incorporates animals in health, education and human service (e.g., social work) for the purpose of therapeutic gains in humans. It involves people with knowledge of the people and animals involved. Animal assisted interventions incorporate human-animal teams in formal human service such as Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT), Animal Assisted Education (AAE) or under certain conditions Animal Assisted Activity (AAA) and Animal Assisted Coaching (from IAHAIO White paper 2018).

The aim of this PhD course is to let our invited speakers give a deeper knowledge into their research area and give participants the opportunity to discuss and learn from each other. For more information see: Course poster and course leaflet.

PhD students must register both below and at GS-WMAS web on the following link: (select course "Animal Assisted Intervention" and find the link "Application").

The registration is now closed but if you are interested it is hopefully possible to make a late registration. In case, please contact the organizer Lena Lidfors before 11th of April

After registration, participants will be invited to Canvas where more information about the course is presented.
