The language of the conference is English.
Climate and Clothing

Passport and Visas
Delegates are advised to contact the nearest embassy, consulate or travel agency for information about the passport and visa requirements from their country for entry to Sweden. If you are in need of an official acceptance letter and correspondence with your embassy or consulate to verify proof of acceptance to the conference, please send an email to Chelsey Jo Huisman, chelsey.huisman@slu.se. When sending the email, please include the following information:
Name, Country, Passport number, Title of paper submission, Dates of visit in Sweden, Email, Mailing address of your affiliated university/institution.
Local Currency
The Swedish monetary unit is the Swedish krona (SEK), divided into 100 öre. In December 2011; Euro 1=SEK 9, USD 1=SEK 7, GBP 1=SEK 10,5. Major credit cards are accepted almost everywhere. There are several currency exchange offices and cash dispensers at Stockholm Arlanda International Airport and in Uppsala.
Electricity
In Sweden the electrical voltage used is 220/230V.
Force Majeure
The organizers are not liable for any claims for damages and/or losses if the entire conference has to be cancelled due to a force majeure incident.
Disclaimer
The organizers are not liable for damages and/or losses of any kind which may be incurred by the conference delegates or by any other individuals accompanying them, both during the official activities as well as going to/from the conference. Delegates are responsible for their own safety and belongings.
Insurance and Vaccinations
The registration fee does not cover insurance for the delegates. The organizers recommend that delegates take out insurance in their home country to cover pre-journey cancellation for personal reasons and necessary insurance to cover accidents, medical expenses and loss of personal belongings during the visit. No vaccinations are needed when visiting Sweden.
Venue
The conference location is at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences on the Ultuna campus which is six kilometers south of Uppsala. The venue in which the conference will take place is Loftet which resides in the southeast corner of SLU’s Ultuna campus right above Ultuna Restaurangen. Loftet is located in K9 on the Ultuna Campus map where the “knife and fork” symbol can be found. On the Ultuna Centrala map, Loftet is labeled and situated right above Ultuna Restaurangen. You can enter Loftet from the north side of the building through the main entrance. Visiting address: Duhrevägen 8.

Travel to Uppsala
Plane Fly into Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN)

Commuter trains depart directly from Arlanda Central Station (Arlanda C) to Uppsala. It is located directly below the centre of SkyCity. SkyCity is located between Terminals 4 and 5. The ticket information desk is #13 on the SkyCity map.

Take bus 20 from the Central Station (towards Graneberg). Get off at bus stop “Veterinärvägen” on SLU campus. The Veterinärvägen bus stop is located near the corner of Ulls väg and Veterinärvagen on the Ultuna Campus map. From this bus stop, walk south on Ulls väg to the BioCentrum. Take a left on Allmas allé. Consult your map for further details as to how to get to Loftet. |

Take bus 20 from the Central Station (towards Graneberg). Get off at bus stop "Herrgårdsvägen" and go a little bit over the road down a staircase. Follow Herrgårdsvägen down to Sunnerstavägen, turn left and then you will see soon the manor/hotel. The distance from the bus stop to the hotel is approximately 250 m |
The convenient and efficient advantage with Bus 20 is that its route goes through SLU, Ultuna campus and will then continue onto bus stop “Herrgårdsvägen” where your hotel accommodation is located. This way you can expediently commute between SLU and your hotel daily.
Individual bus cards will be provided upon your arrival to your hotel, Sunnersta Herrgård, so that you may commute and travel throughout Uppsala at your discretion. However, you will need to pay out-of-pocket the first time in order to get from Central Station (the city train station) to your hotel. Thereafter, you will be given your bus card when you check in at the hotel.

Accommodation
Accommodation is included in the registration fee for the event so the event coordinator will be responsible for booking your hotel reservations. For the duration of the week, all participants will stay at Sunnersta Herrgård (www.sunnerstaherrgard.se) just south of the city of Uppsala. It is a quaint manor nestled amongst Swedish nature and along aside the Fyris River. If you choose not to use this planned accommodation, you are welcome to make your own hotel reservations.

Registration
There is an associated registration fee in order to participate in the NOVA PhD course and EAAE Seminar. Accommodation, lunches, coffee breaks, dinners, local transportation, and a farewell dinner are all included in the registration fee.
Cancellation of registration will be accepted until 25 July, without charge. Cancellations made between 25 July-09 August will be a charged 525 SEK / 58 € (administration cost). Cancellations made after 09 August will be charged the full fee of the event (6,750 SEK / 750 €).
No fee will be charged if you have to cancel your participation and transfer it to another colleague.
We kindly ask you to fill out a registration form, either online or a printed and scanned version. Registration must be confirmed by transfer of the registration fee.
