Advanced case study in applied economic modeling of environmental issues using GAMS

Two courses in GAMS, one applied and one more advanced.

Marking scale: Pass / Failed

The requirements for attaining different grades are described in the course assessment criteria which are contained in a supplement to the course syllabus. Current information on assessment criteria shall be made available at the start of the course.

Prerequisites:
Successful completed of Applied economic modeling of environmental issues using GAMS, (PSS0088) or other basic GAMS course.


Objective:
This course is aimed at students who want to further their knowledge in the applied analysis of the relationship between economic activity and environmental issues after completing the course Applied economic modeling of environmental issues using GAMS. In this course you can advance you GAMS skills to address a specific case study (such as a proposed PhD paper).


The case study will be approved beforehand based on the difficulty level of the proposed modelling techniques. You will be given guidance and supervision while completing the case study. This course is highly recommended for students writing a paper or thesis using GAMS.


Content:
Case study ( 65 hours)

Examination:
The grade for the course will be determined based on the case study, including the case study report and the GAMS model.
