Climatology & climate change science module

3 Be familiar with the basic mechanisms which give rise to the earth's climate patterns (climatology) and the mechanisms driving climate change. Be familiar with climate change scenarios.

4 Be able to explain the fundamental mechanisms which give rise to the earth's climate and weather patterns, and the mechanisms driving climate change. Be able to apply basic methods in climatology. Be able to summarize scenarios of climate change. This grade is available at the first examination occasion only.

5 Be able to elaborate on and apply concepts in climatology and the mechanisms driving climate change. Be able to apply methods in climatology.

Greenhouse gas emissions/mitigation and impacts/adaptation module

3 Be able to describe sources of greenhouse gas emissions, expected impacts of climate change and response options. Be familiar with theory of environmental change and climate change mitigation and adaptation, including drivers of mitigation and adaptation decisions. Collect and summarize data on citizens´ beliefs, experiences and expectations of impacts of climate change and adaptation/mitigation behaviour. Be able to identify communication needs for different groups of citizens.
