Enrolled as a PhD studentMål
With successful completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate an ability to:
present a theoretical topic that is based on extant literature.
identify foundational literature forming a received view of a chosen theoretical topic, and discuss how understanding of the topic has or is developing.
critically analyze the state of current literature addressing the chosen topic, identifying relevant recent contributions and/or areas in need of further development.
Innehåll
The course will provide a structure for participants to critically study a selected topic in the literature, and develop a conceptual framework to support future research. The selected topics will relate to individual participant’s research interest, but will be an established topic in their respective field, where conceptual development can be identified and discussed. While readings will be highly individualized, course seminars will provide the opportunity to train competence in critical reflection of the literature and ability to formulate a well-grounded conceptual framework of a theoretical topic.
