Welcome to our day clinic for general health care
Our booked day visits are conducted at our day clinic for general health care (polyclinic). The polyclinic is often the animal's first encounter with the animal hospital and during the visit further investigation may be required - such as blood tests, X-rays or ultrasounds.
There are several different types of clinics that you can book an appointment for. In addition to general medical clinics, there are also specialist clinics for internal medicine, surgery, skin diseases, heart diseases, cancer, bone and joint diseases, dental problems and urinary tract problems.

Visiting the day clinic
After you have registered at the reception, an animal caretaker, animal nurse, veterinary student or animal nurse student will call you to the waiting room, who will then show you to an examination room. On some of our booking lists during the semester, a veterinary student will first examine the patient. The student will then present the case to a veterinarian who examines the patient again and then makes a decision on how to proceed with the investigation. This way, your animal receives a very thorough review and we can train the veterinarians of the future.
About the visit
The polyclinic is often the animal's first encounter with the animal hospital and during the visit, further examinations with blood tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, bandage changes and minor surgical procedures may be required. We always try to help you as quickly as we can and have close cooperation with both the diagnostic imaging department and our sampling unit. Should your animal require further care and/or investigation, we offer admission to our care department or, if necessary, the operating department.
After the visit
After the visit and any measures taken, you will be asked to sit down in the waiting room. In the meantime, the veterinarian will prepare any prescriptions, advice or other instructions. You will then be called by the reception who will handle your payment and give you the prescriptions or papers you should take home with you.
We offer three payment methods:
- Card payment
- Invoice via Svea Bank
- Part payment via Svea Bank
Care nurse - helps you with simpler treatments
Alongside our clinics, there is also a care nurse who you can book an appointment with. When you visit a care nurse, you can get help with simpler treatments, such as vaccinations, stitch removal, bandage changes, wound care and follow-up blood sampling.
