The care department for horses
In the care department, the horse is admitted for continued treatment, examination or intensive care. Admission means that the horse stays overnight with us. The care department is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
We prioritize a peaceful stay
The hospital is divided into a number of stables, in order to reduce the number of boxes per stable and offer our patients as peaceful a stay with us as possible. This is to give the horses the best possible conditions for recovery. If your horse is to be medicated intravenously, the drugs are given via a permanent catheter that is placed in the horse's jugular vein. If the horse needs a drip, the drip is given via a special drip unit, which allows the horse to move freely in the box even during the drip.
The fee varies according to the care need
The stabling fee for the horse varies according to the patient's care need. Intensive care may be needed for seriously ill foals, very bad colic horses or patients with severe eye conditions, for example. For example, some of our eye patients may need to be medicated with four different medications every hour of the day.
The care department for small animals
In the small animal care department, each patient is given their own cage with a water bowl and something soft to rest on. The animals are cared for based on each patient's individual needs. We understand that as a pet owner, you may be both sad and worried. We do our best to keep you informed about what is happening.
Request a cost estimate
Please note that veterinary care can unfortunately be expensive. Please ask for a cost estimate while your animal is hospitalized and discuss with the veterinarian in charge how much your animal's care may cost.
