We welcome small animals such as rabbits and rodents to a safe and professional care experience with us. With the latest research and modern equipment, we offer high-quality animal care to our visiting animals.
We welcome both big and small animals
At SLU University Animal Hospital, we are committed to ensuring that even the smallest four-legged friends have a safe experience with health care. We offer a range of specially adapted treatments and preventive care to ensure that your animal can be examined and treated for various health problems.
With us, your animal can get help with tooth grinding, which is especially important for animals with constantly growing teeth. We also offer thorough health checks where we look at the animal's general condition and thus can catch signs of illness at an early stage.
We also offer castrations performed by licensed and experienced animal health personnel. Here, you can also vaccinate your rabbit against both myxomatosis and rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease (RHDV-1 and RHDV-2), two serious and sometimes fatal viral diseases. As such, it is important to protect your rabbit against the two diseases.
At the animal hospital, you will be met by dedicated staff with extensive knowledge of small animals, including rabbits and small rodents, where we always strive to offer our visitors a safe experience - both for animals and pet owners.
Our Student-Run Rabbit Clinic
Our student-runt rabbit clinic is run by students who are in their final year of the veterinary and animal nursing programs. At the clinic, we offer discounted examinations that our students perform under the supervision of licensed and experienced staff. Our rabbit clinic is open every Tuesday, where we offer services such as vaccinations and health checks amongst others.
