Transport materials

The laboratory provides address label-stickers, test tube sleeves and boxes for smear slides. To order the materials, please contact us.

Mailbox

We have a mailbox in the entrance to the Small Animal Clinic at SLU University Animal Hospital. You as a customer can leave samples there. We empty the box continuously between 8 AM-4 PM on weekdays. If you leave samples at other times or days, it is important that you have ensured that the sample can withstand storage at room temperature until the next weekday at 8 AM.

For faster processing, please press the light button above the mailbox when you leave your sample. You are welcome to submit your sample for analysis when it suits you best!

Regular mail

A regular letter should be delivered within two business days, according to PostNord. If you are a contract customer with PostNord yourself, you can send first class letters. They should normally arrive the next day. According to PostNord, it is of great importance how the envelope is addressed for fast and secure handling.

Delays or lost letters can be due to letters getting damaged in the mail. Therefore, it is important to use padded envelopes when sending samples. 

Every other day delivery does not affect mail to the Clinical Pathology Laboratory. Our address is to a post office box, which is not affected by every other day delivery. Packages are not affected either. PostNord also offers postage codes for letters, in addition to regular stamps. Postage codes can be purchased online and you enter the code yourself on the envelope in the place of the stamp.

Express mail

Vid behov av en mer säker leverans rekommenderar PostNord att man använder sig av expressbrev. Dessa brev garanteras en leverans nästa dag före kl. 10.00 i hela Sverige, med undantag för vissa geografiska områden. Du kan även följa brevets väg. Expressbrevet lämnar du in hos närmaste ombud och då ingår leveranstidsgaranti som ger dig pengarna tillbaka om brevet är försenat.

If you need a more secure delivery, PostNord recommends using express mail. These letters are guaranteed to be delivered the next day before 10 AM throughout Sweden, with the exception of certain geographical areas. You can also track the letter's route. You hand in the express mail at the nearest agent, which includes a delivery time guarantee that gives you your money back if the letter is delayed.
