    Leading dialogues and cooperations

    Dialogues and cooperation between stakeholders are softer forms of control compared with regulation and taxation. Soft control is popular in contemporary work on transitions. Officials, consultants and communications staff becomes responsible for leading communication about sustainability. Such leaders encounter many difficult situations. We look closer at movements between leading through authority and leading through reasoning.

    Internet search results could be increasing your carbon emissions

    Malte Rödl, Jutta Haider. Almost everyone thinks they know how to use Google, and they usually get the answer they want. Many will intuitively know that the query “milk good for you” leads to different results than “milk bad for you”. The same goes for queries for “climate change” versus “climate hoax”, or for “2020 US Elections valid” versus “stop the steal”.

    Self-trust and Co-creation

    The public discussion up until the Swedish election is characterized by the absence of a question and the overblown presence of another. This also holds for the outcome of the election. A serious, or even general, discussion about our global sustainability challenges, voiced by researchers and the world community at least since the 1970s and currently described as goals in the Agenda 2030, is almost completely missing.
