Registration in Ladok student

If you are admitted to a course or programme at SLU, you must register in order to keep your place, take part in the teaching, be covered by insurance and have your study results documented.

Students without a Swedish personal identity number

With the student IT account, you can log in to student computers, the student web, use the library's resources and log in to your SLU email account.

If someone at SLU like to contact you or inform you about something, this is the email address they will use. Therefore, make it a habit to read emails sent to your SLU email address.

Take the following steps to get your student login:

  1. Read and sign the IT-login contract, which outlines the rules applicable to your account. By acknowledging the account, you accept these rules. You can find more information about it here: New student - information about student IT account. You can create your student IT account now by following the instructions below.

How to register

If you have been admitted to a freestanding course, you are usually able to register online. Online registration will be open in Ladok one week before the course starts. To be able to register online, you need to activate your student IT account first.

If you cannot register online, your teacher can also register you at the roll call/first lecture. Note: The Study guidance and the Admissions Office at SLU cannot register students.

You will find your schedule on the course page. Use the course search to find your course page

If you are admitted after the course has started

If you have been admitted to a program or course that has already started, it is important that you participate in the classes as soon as possible.

You will find your schedule on the course page. Use the course search to find your course page

Access card

SLU’s premises are mostly open during the daytime. However, some areas require an access card, even during the daytime, to permit entry. An access card is primarily required for using computer labs, etc., in the evening and on weekends.

Once you are registered in an SLU course, you will receive an email informing you that you can pick up your access card from the service centre. It can take up to two days from registration before you receive this email.

Check that you are registered as a student before you visit the service centre. You can check if you are registered at Ladok Student.

When collecting your card, you will need to bring ID and sign a receipt for your access card. You will be given your personal access card, the terms of use, information about how the card works and the PIN for the card. The PIN is generated automatically by the system and cannot be changed.

Information if you been placed on a waiting list

If you are on a waiting list, you have to be offered a place before you can register. SLU will contact you if you can be offered a place.  Only students who are admitted to a course or programme should attend the course.

The University cannot estimate your chances of getting a place

We regret that the University cannot reply to questions about your chances of getting a place or when any notification may come.
