Accommodation for applicants without guaranteed housing
Here you can apply for student housing at SLU. The student accommodation waiting list resets each academic year, beginning on 1 May and running until 30 April the following year.

SLU student housing offers a variety of accommodation types in different locations around Uppsala.
You can find more information about accommodation options and conditions on the information pages for fee-paying students. Please note that only fee-paying students are guaranteed housing. Links to the pages for each location are provided below.
Who can apply for accommodation?
Students with an accommodation guarantee
The following students are welcome to apply and have guaranteed accommodation:

Fee‑paying Master’s students (non‑EU/EEA/Swiss citizens)

Fee‑paying Bachelor’s students (non‑EU/EEA/Swiss citizens)
All fee‑paying Master’s students have an accommodation guarantee, but must still submit an application using the form below. The deadline for exercising the accommodation guarantee is 1 May. Applications submitted after this date will be considered non‑guaranteed.
Applicants without a guarantee
The following applicants are welcome to apply, but accommodation cannot be guaranteed:

Exchange or internship students at a partner university with an exchange agreement with SLU

PhD students, PostDocs, Guest Lecturers, or Guest Researchers who are not employed by SLU
Applications will open on 1 May.
How the application process works

Complete the application form.

Students who are offered housing will be contacted by email or telephone. Those who cannot be offered accommodation will not be contacted.

A tenancy can be terminated with two months’ notice by either party.

Inappropriate behaviour may lead to eviction.
