Registration

Depending on whether you are newly admitted to a programme or to a course, registration takes place in different ways.

In order to be registered, you must first activate your student account.

Admitted to a programme

If you are admitted to a programme, you will be registered after you have attended the roll call on the first day of the semester. Registration on the programme and on the courses during the first semester is handled by SLU, so you cannot register for the course yourself during the first semester of the programme.

Contact your programme director of studies or course administrator if you have questions about registration for the first course on a programme. Their contact details can be found on the course page, which you can find most easily by clicking on the course title in your framework schedule on the programme page. The SLU Admissions Office cannot register students.

Admitted to a freestanding course

Course registration in Ladok for students

You must register for the courses you are going to study. Registration is done online in Ladok for students. If you are admitted to a freestanding course or a course within your programme, it is essential that you register yourself to secure your place. Registration opens no earlier than one week before the course starts.

If you are unable to register for a course yourself, you can ask the course coordinator to register you at the start of the course.

To register in Ladok for students, please follow these steps:

1. Go to Ladok for students.
2. Select "Access through your institution"
3. Search and select "Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences"
4. Log in with your SLU student account.
5. Courses you can register for now are listed under the heading "Registration".
   Click on "Register" under the course titles of the courses you want to study.

You will need to register for each course you want to take. The earliest you can register online is one week before the start of a course.

If you cannot register for a course, it may be because:

• The registration period has not started or has ended.
• You have been conditionally admitted.

If you have any questions about registration, please contact your course coordinator or course administrator. Their contact details can be found on the course search web. The SLU Admissions Office cannot register students.
