Objectives
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- analyse the principles governing regulation of appetite and food consumption;
- evaluate the human requirement for nutrients in connection to health;
- characterise and compare appropriate study designs and key methods for nutrition research;
- map diseases in which nutrition is considered to be of great importance;
- explain molecular and genetic mechanisms of how diet affects health;
- generalise basic theory and methodology in nutritional epidemiology:
- search for and summarise scientific literature on the topic of human nutrition and physiology.
