Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to:
- Review policy relevance, policy implications and policy recommendations from written policy related documents
- Analyze the future relevance of policymaking, policy in practice and scientific evaluations of policy.
- Demonstrate an ability to identify a policy relevance, implications and recommendations
- Demonstrate an ability to communicate policy implications and recommendations, orally and in written format.

Content

The course will have three parts:\

1. Half day training session – in class presentation and discussion\
2. Reading session – individual work on provided literature and hands-on exercises\
3. Writing session – students will identify policy relevance, and write policy implications and recommendations for their doctoral project.

Examination Formats and Requirements for Passing the Course

A seminar presentation and a completed chapter on policy implications and recommendations in the doctoral project.
