To assimilate the course content, students should have good knowledge in nutrition and husbandry of the animal species they wish to work with in the course.

The entry requirement of 30 credits animal production in animal science may be fulfilled through completed courses HV0158/HV0210 Ruminant production and HV0159/HV0209 Aquaculture, poultry and pig production.
